About this entry

74% of key specs known. Missing: weight, hardening, end links, link attachment, clasp micro-adjust.

The 316L steel version of the original 2016 Hammerhead, sold on a steel bracelet; same case and specs as the bronze Hammerhead 1000m Diver Bronze (a separate model): 44mm, 49mm lug to lug, 17mm high including the double-domed sapphire (14.5mm without), 22mm lugs, 1000m, Seiko NH35 with a date at 6, screw-down crown at 4, solid caseback etched with hammerhead sharks, 120-click unidirectional bezel. Listed in Zelos's Discontinued Models collection. The store listing has two options: Black Dial ($649) and Grey dial with a Damascus steel bezel insert ($849); the Damascus is Damasteel from Sweden, acid-etched to show the pattern. aBlogtoWatch (January 2017) describes four steel versions at launch, black, grey or blue dial with a ceramic insert from $429, the grey Damascus at $599 and a meteorite dial with ceramic insert at $629; only the two above are on the Zelos listing. aBlogtoWatch's winner review unit, a steel Damascus, is numbered 03/50 on the caseback, which suggests a numbered run of 50, but Zelos states no edition size. Bracelet: three links per row, solid links with alternating polished and brushed surfaces, and a steel clasp with a long adjustable diver's extension (aBlogtoWatch; Zelos: "Bracelet with quick adjust Divers Extension"); link attachment not stated. Worn & Wound says the watch also came with rubber and canvas straps; the winner review lists leather and canvas straps with the bracelet. Weight not published.
