Unimatic's military field watch, sold since 2020 as a series of numbered limited editions. It uses the case of the Modello Uno U1 with a fixed monoblock steel bezel in place of the rotating one, drilled lugs and a thicker flat sapphire. Each edition has its own reference (U4-<code>), store page, dial, case finish and strap set, so editions are recorded as variants; editions that change the case material, size, crystal or movement are separate models, as are the GMT editions (Modello Quattro U4 GMT) and the other Modello Quattro references (U4S, UT4). Common specification, from Unimatic's spec sheets: 40mm case, 49mm lug to lug, 22mm drilled lugs, 8mm screw-down 'Alchemical Sun' crown between angular crown guards (photos), screw-down caseback, individually tested to 300m, 2.8mm flat sapphire with anti-reflective coating on the inner side, Seiko NH35A (Unimatic quotes Seiko's -20/+40 s/day, a power reserve over 41h and, on the 2020-2022 sheets, antimagnetism to 4,800 A/m; no regulation claim). The 2025-2026 sheets (U4-BLB, AEB, AEG) give 13.7mm without the crystal and 13.9mm with it, recorded, a 28.4mm case opening and 316L steel; the U4-AEB and AEG sheets give 100g for the head and 118g on a NATO strap, recorded, and the U4-BLB sheet 99g and 117g. The 2020-2022 sheets (U4-A, BTS, BTY, TA) give 13.8mm (crystal not stated, as in Fratello's U4-A review) and a 29mm case opening and call the steel 316, as the descriptions do, so the earlier case may differ slightly. Dial, lume colour, case finish (brushed, bead-blasted, sandblasted, black DLC), caseback engraving, date window and straps vary by edition, so complications are left to the movement (NH35, date) and the date window is noted per edition where Unimatic states it or the photos plainly show it. Prices are the euro prices for Italy, VAT included, shown on each product page; Unimatic prices other markets differently. Sold-out editions keep their store page and last listed price; where the store shows 0 instead, the price comes from launch coverage, in its currency, or is left blank. Edition details. U4-A (2020, 500), the first Modello Quattro, announced in December 2020: brushed case, vintage black dial with C3 pale green lume and off-white trims, 'Ground-to-Air Signals' caseback, olive drab heavy-duty NATO; its page gives no edition size, its description calls it a first batch of 500 pieces and Fratello's review a limited run of 500 that sold out almost at once, at 425 EUR before VAT. U4-TA (2022, 200) was made with the Italian Army's Alpine troops (Truppe Alpine): sandblasted case, matte foliage green dial with the white Truppe Alpine logo and C3 lume, Unimatic x Esercito caseback, foliage green TPU strap. U4-BTS and U4-BTY (2022, 100 and 50) were made with BAIT and sold through its website: bead-blasted case, polar white crosshair or lemon gold dial (albino crossedged and risotto yellow on the sheets) with black numerals and railroad track, lume only on the hour and minute hands (C1 or light old radium), navy or gilt seconds hand, Unimatic x BAIT caseback, two-piece nylon strap in blue capri or marrow brown plus a black NATO. The U4-BTY description is copied from the U4-BTS and gives a blue capri strap, but its sheet, page spec list and photos show marrow brown, recorded. The store shows 0, so the price is the 525 USD launch price from Mr Stateless (August 2022). U4-RE (122) was made with Royal Enfield for its 122 years: heavily sandblasted case, glossy black dial with the red Royal Enfield logo, GL old radium lume and gold metallic trims, 'Made like a gun' caseback, black NATO with black DLC hardware plus a cognac calf leather strap. It was sold by draw in November 2023, though the store tags it 2024. Its page links the U4-BTY spec sheet and its page spec list is copied from the U4-BTY (lemon gold dial, BAIT caseback), so only its description and photos are used. The store shows 0, so the price is the 550 EUR launch price from Modern Classic Bikes (November 2023). U4-BLB (2025, 99): black DLC case, matte black long-index sandwich dial with BG W9 lume, date window at 6, Index caseback, black NATO with black DLC hardware; the store's main photo is named U4-MLM but shows this edition. U4-AEB and U4-AEG (2026, 250 each, Impronte collection): matte black or aluminium-colour dial with C1 lume and debossed trims, 'wrinkled' caseback, two seatbelt NATO straps; the year is from Fratello's launch article (August 2026), as the pages carry no year tag. UC4 Classic (from 2021) is not a limited edition: the Modello Quattro of Unimatic's permanent Classic series, individually numbered in yearly batches and sold continuously (Silodrome's launch report, October 2021, gave 575 USD): brushed case, matte black dial marked CLASSIC with C3 pale green lume, closed off-white seconds rail and trims, no date window (photos; none on the sheet), 'Rosa dei venti' compass caseback, black heavy-duty NATO with brushed hardware and travel pouch. Its sheet gives the same case, crystal, NH35A and weights (100g and 118g) as the 2026 U4 sheets, with 13.7mm without the crystal and 14mm with it, so it is a variant here; its page spec list calls the steel 316 where the sheet says 316L, and Silodrome's 'double domed' sapphire is flat on the sheet.
