The original Hammerhead, Zelos's 1970s-style cushion-case 1000m diver, taken as pre-orders on zeloswatches.com from July 2016 and delivered from early 2017; later batches followed in 2017 and 2018, and every listing is now in Zelos's Discontinued Models collection. It was replaced by the Hammerhead 2 (November 2019). This file is the CuSn8 bronze case; the 316L steel case (Hammerhead 1000m Diver Steel), the titanium case (Hammerhead Titanium 1000m) and the Ti-Damascus case are separate models. Case 44mm, 49mm lug to lug, 17mm high including the double-domed sapphire (14.5mm without it), 22mm lugs, 1000m. Seiko NH35 with a date at 6 (photos; aBlogtoWatch on the titanium version of the same case). Screw-down, C3-lumed signed crown at 4 o'clock. Solid steel caseback etched with two hammerhead sharks (aBlogtoWatch: "solid steel case-back on all eight Zelos Hammerhead models"). 120-click unidirectional bezel with either a full bronze bezel or a ceramic insert (Zelos: "1500 Vickers"), recorded per variant from Zelos's colourway text and the photos; the 60-minute scale is read from the photos. Two-layer dial with a BGW9 minute track and C3 on hands, indices, bezel and crown; aBlogtoWatch found the index lume weaker than the bezel's. Inner AR coating per Zelos; aBlogtoWatch found the reflections noticeable. Sold on a rubber strap with a bronze buckle; the bracelet was for the steel models only. The Submarine Limited Edition (February 2018, 100 numbered pieces) has a dial cut from the hull steel of a decommissioned US nuclear attack submarine, a submarine engraving on the case side, an "Emergency Blow" caseback and a changed depth line on the dial; a titanium version (80 pieces) belongs to the Hammerhead Titanium 1000m. Prices span batches: the 2017 listings ($649 to $849, "Models available: Bronze" option) and the July 2018 batch ($349 to $699, rubber strap only, "to offer a lower price than before"). At launch aBlogtoWatch quoted $529 for black, blue or grey bronze models and $749 for the bronze meteorite. Weight not published.
