Islander's "39mm Pilot Watch" (described as the newest version of its 39mm Flieger), Type-B navigator dial. The black IP versions (ISL-229/230, sold as the "39mm Black IP Pilot Watch") have the same description and spec table as the stainless steel ISL-227 apart from the case finish ("PVD" vs "Stainless Steel"), so black IP is recorded as a variant configuration. Not to be confused with Islander's 12mm-thick "39mm Automatic Pilot Watch". Seiko NH35 with the date mechanics removed, so no ghost crown position. 39 x 11.6mm, 45.8mm lug to lug, 20mm lugs, screw-down crown, 100m, solid screw-down caseback etched with an F-14 silhouette. Flat sapphire with inner AR. Hands and markers treated with Super-LumiNova (grade not stated). Weight 155g "on bracelet" from the spec table.
