About this entry

84% of key specs known. Missing: hardening, crown, clasp micro-adjust.

Sold as the "Thunderbolt Pilot Watch", named after the plane built by Republic Aviation on Long Island. Seiko NH38 ("a true no-date"). Fully blasted stainless steel case and bracelet (grade not stated): 40 x 12.5mm, 47mm lug to lug, 20mm lugs, 100m, screw-down exhibition caseback showing the blue Islander rotor; whether the crown screws down is not stated. Flat sapphire with inner AR. Smooth fixed bezel (from the photos). The brand doesn't mention lume, but the product photos show the hands and markers glowing green, so the compound is unknown. Weight 160g from the spec table (not stated what was weighed). Bracelet: solid links and solid end links sized with screws, 20mm tapering to 16mm, 3 links per row (from the photos); the description says it has a "tool-less microadjusting clasp" and the spec table "Stainless steel, ratcheting", so whether it adjusts on the wrist is unclear and micro-adjust and clasp type are not recorded. The ISL-344 description's heading reads "#ISL-343" (a copy error; title and SKU are ISL-344). None is tagged "Discontinued"; on 2026-10-21 ISL-343 was in stock and ISL-322 and ISL-344 sold out. Release date not stated by the brand. No independent review found.
