Ocean Crawler Champion Diver

About this entry

73% of key specs known. Missing: weight, hardening, crown, lume.

Sellita-powered, 600m Champion Diver, sold since 2018 as a long series of small numbered editions (limits as stated on each listing). Brand specs on every listing: 44.2mm without crown, 15mm thick, 51.8mm lug-to-lug, 22mm lugs, 316L steel, 600m, unidirectional 120-click bezel with a Swiss Super-LumiNova marker (BGW9 on two listings), "thick domed sapphire crystal glass with 4.50mm thickness" with an anti-reflective coating (side not stated), "Movement Accuracy +/- 5 seconds/day in 3 positions", shock resistance to 6,000 G (hammer test). The thickness isn't stated as with or without the domed crystal; recorded as total. The 2018-2019 listings (Extra Special, Silver, G Blue, Orange, Teal, Yellow, Mint, DLC) name a "Sellita SW-200" and the later ones (from the 2020 Barracuda Point Reissue) a "Sellita SW-200-1"/"SW200-1"; recorded as SW200-1, the brand's own later wording for the same watch. Dial lume isn't specified separately from the bezel marker, so it is left blank. No bracelet is offered: every listing comes with two straps. The DLC Silver and DLC G Blue (2019) have a black DLC-coated case (colour coating; hardness not claimed). Photos show a date window at 3 on the 2018-2022 dials, but none on the Fordite, 2023 Limited Edition and Ceramic-Enamel dials. "G Blue" is "Gradient Blue" in the DLC listing text; the "Orange" listing photo shows a red-orange dial. Fordite dials are cut from layered car paint from Detroit plants; Unique Pieces are 1-of-1. The Ceramic-Enamel dial listings (2024-2025: The Last Dive, Abyssal Duel, and the Mermaid, Leviathan and Kraken Vs Neptune "LE" listings) don't name the model, but their spec text (44mm, 15mm, 51.8mm, 22mm, 4.5mm domed sapphire, 120-click bezel with Super-LumiNova marker) and photos are the Champion Diver's; they add "a helium release valve is located at 9 o'clock", which no other Champion Diver listing mentions, so helium_valve is left blank. They are "limited" without a number. The Ceramic-Enamel Kraken vs. Neptune (2024) is this case with a Kraken vs. Neptune dial, not the compressor-case Kraken vs. Neptune model. Store samples, floor models and used pieces are recorded as prices with a configuration on the colourway they show (matched from photos: the "Grey/Red/Blue Textured" samples are Palomino Isl. dials, the "Davis Ledge" sample is the V2 Yellow SE, the 2022 "Blue" sample is the V2 Blue SE, the "Sample - Like New" is a Clearwater). The 2024 "Champion LE- Prototype" Purple and Silver listings show the Limited Edition Mulberry and Submarine Silver dials (same spec text, kevlar and rubber straps, "100 units made of each color variation") and are recorded as prototype prices on those variants; the 2019 "Champion Silver Dial" listing and the "Champion Silver Sample - Floor Model" repeat the Silver edition's text (75 units, Sellita SW-200, leather and rubber straps) and photos. The 2017 Champion Diver with the Seiko-based OC729 caliber and 300m rating is a separate model (champion-diver-oc729). The "Piranha - Ceramic-Enamel Dial - LE" listing (August 2024; added 2026-10-25) has the same Ceramic-Enamel spec text (44mm, 15mm, 51.8mm, 22mm, 4.5mm domed sapphire, 120-click bezel, helium valve at 9, SW200-1), a red piranha dial, and an orange fitted strap and a custom purple stingray strap; it is recorded as a Ceramic-Enamel variant. The 2023 Piranha in the 43.2mm compressor case is a separate model (piranha).
