This file is the no-date Commuter 38 (Miyota 9039); the date version (date at 6) is a separate model, commuter-38-date, sold from the same product pages at the same price. Current ref. 8233 (5th generation), which per Traska's Reference Points page added extra underside AR layers, Grade A BGW9 lume and quick-release spring bars; the 38mm size first appeared in 2023 as the limited ref. 8231. Dimensions from the brand drawing (shared with the Summiteer 38): 38.5mm, 46mm lug-to-lug, 10.5mm with the box sapphire (8.75mm without), 20mm lugs tapering to 16mm; Fratello's review agrees. Hardening: "almost 1200HV" on case and bracelet per the brand; method not disclosed (the spec image calls it a "scratch-resistant coating"). Regulated in four positions, "typically -10 to +20 s/day". Clasp: brand-described "tool-less" push-button micro-adjust, six positions spaced 1.35mm apart, operated by a PUSH button inside the clasp; two half-links included; recorded as toolless as for the other Traska models (Fratello calls it "toolless six-step"; see the Freediver notes for the reviewer disagreement on on-wrist use). Bracelet: Fratello describes a three-row Oyster-style bracelet with single-headed screw pins and quick-release spring bars, and a screw-in steel caseback. Adriatic Blue has a sunburst dial; the other regular colours are lacquered. Lapis Lazuli, Malachite and Onyx are semi-precious stone dials from Traska's Limited-Release Semi-Precious Collection (10 per size, December 2024, no-date only, $720); their spec image lists standard (not Grade A) BGW9 lume and does not mention quick-release spring bars, so they are probably the earlier 4th-generation build. No weight published or found. Design widely compared to the Rolex Oyster Perpetual by reviewers. On 2026-10-21 Florida Coral and Seafoam Green were in stock; the other colours and the stone dials were sold out.
