About this entry

73% of key specs known. Missing: thickness, weight, hardening, bracelet offered.

The 500 m steel Waterman with a Swiss ETA 2824-2 (the 2016 Waterman is Moana Pacific Waterman (Miyota 9015); the bronze case is Moana Pacific Waterman Bronze). Brand spec: 316L steel case, crown and buckle, fine brushed, 42mm with 51mm lug-to-lug and 22mm lugs, 13mm tall excluding crystal (total thickness with the high-domed crystal not published), matte ceramic bezel engraved and fully lumed, sandwich dial, high-domed sapphire with AR coating (side not stated), screw-down crown with raised shield logo, 500 m with a Viton caseback gasket, ETA 2824-2 (38 hours). The photos show a 12-hour bezel scale and no date window. Editions: the Vintage (velvet black dial, black ceramic bezel, warm-toned lume; launched alongside the bronze version, which its page calls new, with renderings only at launch), and two Art Collection pieces individually hand-engraved by Christchurch artist Andrew Biggs, each limited to 10: Kaitiaki (manta ray, albatross and red-billed gull with Tangaroa; the first Waterman in the Art Collection) and Kupe (Kupe's battle with Te Wheke, limit of one per customer). The engraved editions use Old Radium lume on bezel, dial and hands. The Vintage listing is sold out; the brand's archive lists Kupe and Kaitiaki as sold out.
