About this entry

80% of key specs known. Missing: thickness, weight, hardening.

Vintage-style pilot's watch from 2016 with a German-made case, assembled in Chicago. Brand specs, the same on all three listings: 42mm, brushed 316L, screw-down crown, sapphire with AR on the underside, 200m (20 ATM), handmade Horween leather strap, "Swiss automatic (Cal. 2824-2 or SW200)". Worn & Wound (hands-on, 2016) and SJX both name the ETA 2824-2, so that is recorded. Worn & Wound adds 52.5mm lug-to-lug, 22mm lugs, a plain solid caseback and a date window at 6 (white on black on both launch dials). Thickness is not stated by any source. The launch run was a black dial (white markers, BGW9) and a navy sunray "B" dial (green C3 lume), 50 pieces each; the listings describe the black version's crown as a traditional pilot crown and the B's as a diamond-shaped crown (Worn & Wound calls it a diamond crown). The B2, listed in November 2016, has a blue sunray dial with white C3 markers; no run size is stated for it. Prices: $950 pre-order at launch, rising to $1,249 afterwards (SJX); the store pages still show $1,249 but are sold out and sit in the brand's Archives collection.
