About this entry
80% of key specs known. Missing: lug-to-lug, thickness, hardening.
The gold version of the Treasure Watch, sold as "Treasure Watch Gold": a heavy gold plating over a brass case body (not solid gold); the other version, Treasure Steel, is polished stainless steel. Released in November 2021 for ten years since the Signalman. The two versions together are limited to 29, each individually numbered and named after a UK treasure hoard (No. 1 Sutton Hoo, No. 2 Ringlemere Cup), so no per-version limit is recorded. The listing was sold out and priced at zero on 2026-10-30; the price is the launch price from Fratello, £3,480 including UK VAT (£2,900 excluding VAT outside the UK), the same for both versions; Oracle of Time's 2022 review also gives £3,480. Brand spec: 44mm base, 42mm bezel, 35.5mm window, "15mm high (not inc lugs)", 118g with strap (the brand gives the same weight for both versions); gold-plated ETA 2824-2, 25 jewels, 42h, hours, minutes and a "Sign-of-Life" centre seconds, no date; stepped black dial with a printed lume ring; complex stepped steel case back with a gold-plated brass "X" behind a wire-eroded aperture; sapphire with a nine-layer AR coating and an oleophobic DLC top coat; steel pull-out crown with double O-ring; gold-plated steel strap bars and buckle; strap of the buyer's choice; 100m. Fratello calls the crystal domed and gives 14.8mm "not including lugs"; Oracle of Time's review gives 14mm. Thickness is left blank: the figures disagree and none says whether the crystal is included.
