About this entry

80% of key specs known. Missing: lug-to-lug, hardening, AR coating.

Zelos's lugless 2014 Kickstarter watch, sold on its store in two solid-dial versions (316L steel with a black dial, and black PVD with rose-gold accents); both listings are sold out and in Zelos's Discontinued Models collection. The Chroma 2 (2015, Miyota 821A and lume) is a separate model. Zelos's spec list: 42mm without the crown ("the lugless design wears similar to a 40mm watch with typical lug"), "11mm thickness" (not stated whether that includes the crystal), sapphire front and see-through caseback, 20mm crazy horse leather strap, 316L steel case and buckle with PVD on the black editions, 50m, engraved logo on crown and buckle. Movement: Zelos lists "Miyota 8215/8N24 automatic movement. Custom PVD plated rose gold rotor"; Worn & Wound names the Miyota 8215 for the solid-dial Chroma. The 8N24 is Miyota's skeleton caliber and was presumably used in the skeleton-dial versions Worn & Wound mentions, which these two listings don't cover. No date window in Zelos's or Worn & Wound's photos, so the 8215's date is recorded as not displayed. Per Worn & Wound: hidden lugs on the underside, 20mm lug width, screw-down crown signed "Z", four-screw see-through caseback, no lume on the hands or dial, 89g on the stock strap, $299. AR coating not stated. The PVD version's dial looks dark grey to blue depending on the photo.
