Pook's 41mm case on the Miyota 8215 with a date at 3, named after the Ilmari 39 line. The Ilmari name honours the designer Andreas Prepula's grandfather Ilmari Prepula, who fought in the Salla direction in the 1939-40 Winter War and fell in 1941. Spec tables (Ilmari 39 and Kontio agree, current and 2020 archived pages alike): 316L stainless steel, 41mm without crown, "full thickness" 13mm (taken as including the crystal), 22mm lugs, sapphire with anti-glare coating on the underside, stainless steel screw-down crown, screw-down caseback with logo (the Ilmari 39's engraved with two snow-clad soldiers in snowshoes), "Swiss luminous" hands and dial, 10 ATM / 100m, serial-numbered editions of 70. A paranato strap is standard and a steel bracelet was available at extra cost; its details and price aren't stated. Both editions are sold out and shown without a price; the prices are from the brand's own pages archived in November 2020 (EUR 399 including 24% Finnish VAT). The 2020 pre-order pages asked EUR 199.50, half the price. Warranty was 24 months on the 2020 pages, 36 months on the current tables. Pook's other Ilmari watches are separate models: the Ilmari 40 on a Swiss ETA 2824-2 (also stated as 41mm), and the blue "Ilmari" on a 41.5 x 46.5mm case with a K1 crystal. An Ilmari 41 with the same specs (70 pieces, sapphire, Miyota 8215, date) was taken on pre-order in 2020, with a two-strap package at EUR 349 until 24 April 2020; it is no longer listed. Not stated: lug-to-lug, weight, bezel action, crystal shape, lume grade. Editions. Ilmari 39 (70 pieces): white dial (cream in the photos) and green markings for the snow and forests of Lapland in the Winter War, and a bezel "exceptionally made of glass" (steel with a lumed K1 glass inlay) for the 40-degree frost. Kontio (70 pieces; "kontio" is a Finnish folk name for the bear): brown dial whose colour and texture imitate a bear's fur; launched with Pook's ambassadors, the nature photographers Jari and Kaisa Peltomäki of Finnature.
