Bristol brand that traces its history to 1846, when Edwin Fear opened a workshop on Redcliff Street; the original company closed in 1976. It was re-established by his great-great-great-grandson Nicholas Bowman-Scargill, relaunching at SalonQP on 3 November 2016 (founded here is the relaunch year). The site says the family owns and runs the company and that watches are hand-built in Britain; best known for the cushion-cased Brunswick and the Redcliff. Sold direct (boutique in Clifton Arcade, Bristol) and through stockists listed on the site. Product pages show the UK price including 20% VAT next to the ex-VAT price; the store's data, and so the prices recorded here, are ex-VAT.
