About this entry
67% of key specs known. Missing: movement, weight, hardening, crown, lume.
The 40mm Brunswick cushion case machined from 925 sterling silver, hallmarked by the London Assay Office, with a sterling silver crown set with a diamond (Fears' sign of a solid precious-metal case). Slimmer than the steel Brunswick 40 and fitted with a hand-wound movement Fears calls new, the La Joux-Perret G121M (TOP grade, blued screws, 60-hour power reserve per Fears; hours, minutes and small seconds at 6). The caliber is recorded here as "manual" only because La Joux-Perret publishes no spec sheet for the G121M (its site lists only the D100, D101, F100, G100, G101 and 7380), so no movement file was added. Spec tab: 40 x 40mm, 47mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lugs, 11.1mm to the top of the domed sapphire (AR coated inside and outside), 100m, screw-down solid caseback; the crown is not described as screw-down. Strap only. The 1846 Edition (white multi-layer enamel-style dial with black Roman numerals and thermally blued spade hands, after Edwin Fear's first pocket watch of 1846) marked Fears' 180th anniversary: 25 numbered pieces sold only at the Alliance of British Watch & Clockmakers' British Watchmakers' Day on 7 March 2026. The Silver Noir (black dial, rhodium hands) was its companion, offered privately to the 1846 Edition waitlist in a time-limited order window that has closed (deliveries expected from August 2026); no number is given. Both pages show no stock on 2026-10-25. Prices are the ex-VAT prices in Fears' store data (UK buyers pay 20% VAT on top, £4,350).
