About this entry

79% of key specs known. Missing: lug-to-lug, thickness, weight, hardening.

42mm version of the USA-assembled G2 quartz GMT on the Swiss Ronda 515.24H ("caller" GMT); the 39mm G2 is a separate model. Vaer's February 2026 G2 guide lists 39mm and 42mm sizes sharing "the same construction standards, bezel architecture, and operating principles", the Ronda 515.24H, 15 ATM and a screw-down, gasket-sealed caseback; the Gilt and Navy/Black 42mm listings were created on 28 April 2026 and tagged "new". Brand spec list (identical on all four 42mm pages): 42mm, 20mm lugs, 15 ATM, 316L steel, locking screw-down crown, aluminum GMT bezel, 120-click bi-directional bezel, single-domed sapphire with AR coating (side not stated), 40-month battery life, -10/+20 sec/month, 15 layers of BGW9 on the dial and BGW9 on all three hands (blue glow in the night photo), date window. Lug-to-lug and thickness are left blank: the G2 42mm spec list gives 48.48mm lug-to-lug and 13.27mm with crystal (12.25mm without), exactly the figures of the G5 42mm page published two weeks earlier, although the G5 has a box sapphire and the G2 a single-domed one, and the G2 was designed as the slim GMT (10.8mm at 39mm against 13.06mm for the 39mm G5). Solid caseback with an etched world map and "15ATM water resistant" (caseback photo). Bezel inserts from the descriptions and photos (black with gilt numerals on the Gilt, navy and black on the Navy/Black); both descriptions also contain a "red/navy bezel insert" sentence copied from the Navy/Red listing. Dials from the photos (red GMT hand on both). Every G2 ships with a black FKM Ocean strap plus a free single-pass nylon strap or a paid upgrade; bracelet recorded is the Premium Steel Bracelet (+USD 90; its 42mm fitment SKU is the one used for the DS2/D4/DS4/D5 42mm): screw links, solid custom-fit end links, quick-release pins, 20-16mm, milled clasp, four spring-bar micro-adjust positions (Vaer bracelet page and FAQ); the watch pages' generic "friction fit pins / 18mm" blurb describes the older Standard bracelet. A Premium Jubilee (+USD 120) is also offered; an FKM waffle strap (+USD 30) and lined Horween leather (+USD 120) are not recorded as prices. The Gilt and Navy/Black sold out on 2026-10-21 with the next restock expected in mid November. No independent review of the 42mm was found and no weight is published. No hardening treatment is mentioned. Pacific Steel and Pacific Polar 42mm: listings created on 23 April 2026 (SKU prefixes G2-PSB42 and G2-PSP42, matching the 39mm G2-PSB39 and G2-PSP39), same spec list and prices (USD 429 / 519 / 549; tan or black Horween leather +USD 120 and FKM waffle +USD 30 not recorded); their descriptions and tags are copied from the 39mm Navy/Red listing ("39mm", "red/navy aluminum bezel insert") and are ignored. The photos of both show a brushed steel bezel with an engraved 24-hour scale and no insert, as on the 39mm Pacific Steel, where the copied spec list says aluminum. Lume: the spec lists say BGW9 for both, which fits the Polar's photos (white markers glowing blue), but the Pacific Steel's photos show cream-coloured markers and hands glowing green, matching the 39mm Pacific Steel whose page says Old Radium; Old Radium is recorded for the Pacific Steel from the photos. Pacific Steel has an orange-red GMT hand on a black dial, Pacific Polar an orange GMT hand on an off-white dial. Both sold out on 2026-10-23, with restocks expected in late October (Pacific Steel) and mid November (Pacific Polar).
