Hong Kong-assembled solar diver, the lower-priced sibling of the USA-assembled D4; the 38mm DS4 and the 42mm DS4 No Date are separate models. Vaer cites 1970s Rolex and Doxa military divers for the dial and bezel and the military-issue Omega Seamaster for the case. Brand: 42mm, 48mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lugs, 20 ATM, 316L steel, locking screw-down crown, single flat sapphire with AR coating (side not stated), aluminum bezel with lume pip, 15 layers of BGW9 on the dial and BGW9 on the hands, "-10/+20 sec/month timing tolerance". Movement: the spec list says "Japan Made Epson VS-22/42" for every DS4; the VS42 is recorded here because these listings show a date window at 3 in every photo and Caliber Corner says Vaer uses the VS42A in the 42mm solar diver. Power reserve: the product pages say 6 months from 6 hours of light; Vaer's February 2026 D4/DS4 guide says "DS4: approximately 4 months". Thickness is left blank: the pages give "11.6mm Thickness" without saying whether the flat crystal is included, and the D4 42mm page gives the same 11.6mm explicitly as case height without crystal (13.7mm with its domed crystal). The "case weight of 70.6 grams" in the sizing text is the D5 39mm figure repeated across Vaer's pages, so it is not used. Unidirectional bezel and screw-down gasket-sealed caseback per the D4/DS4 guide; solid caseback from the product photos (stamped "Japan Solar Movement"); clicks not stated. Dial and bezel colours from product photos (the Navy has gold-tone hands). Every DS4 ships with a black FKM strap plus a free khaki nylon strap or the Premium Steel Bracelet (+USD 90): screw links, solid custom-fit end links, quick-release pins, 20-16mm, milled clasp (brand page description), four spring-bar micro-adjust positions (Vaer FAQ). The watch page's generic "friction fit pins / 18mm" blurb describes the older Standard bracelet. No jubilee option on these pages. Both colourways were in stock on 2026-10-21. No hardening treatment is mentioned.
