Hong Kong-assembled quartz skin diver; the 36mm and 42mm DS2 are separate models (the 42mm uses the larger Miyota GR12). Vaer cites 1970s Rolex and Doxa military divers for the dial and bezel and the military-issue Omega Seamaster for the case. Brand: 39mm, 46mm lug-to-lug, 10.4mm thick, 20mm lugs, 15 ATM, 316L steel, single flat sapphire with AR coating (side not stated), locking screw-down crown, aluminum bezel with lume pip, Miyota GM12 (date at 6), "40-month battery life" and "-10/+20 sec/month timing tolerance" (Miyota's own spec: 3 years, +/-20 s/month). Lume per the spec lists: 15 layers of BGW9 on Navy, Green, Gilt, Red and Purple, 15 layers of C3 on Meridian Black (aBlogtoWatch agrees for Black/Navy/Green), "Standard Old Radium" on the Arctic; the description paragraph's lume grade is boilerplate and is not used. 120-click unidirectional coin-edge bezel, solid screw-down caseback and brushed and polished case per aBlogtoWatch (November 2025); WatchReviewBlog also reports 120 unidirectional clicks on the Arctic. Head weight 52g measured by aBlogtoWatch without strap; the product pages' "case weight of 70.6 grams" is repeated unchanged on the 36, 39 and 42mm pages and equals the D5 39mm figure, so it is not used. Dial and bezel colours are from product photos (aBlogtoWatch calls the Black/Navy/Green dials sunburst; The Calibrated Wrist calls the Black matte). Every DS2 ships with a black silicone strap plus a free second strap or a paid bracelet. Bracelet recorded is the Premium Steel Bracelet (+USD 90; same fitment SKU as the D5, G2 and G5 39mm): screw links, solid custom-fit end links, quick-release pins, 20-16mm, milled clasp (brand page title), four spring-bar micro-adjust positions (Vaer FAQ). The watch pages' generic "friction fit pins / 18mm" blurb describes the older Standard bracelet. The Premium Jubilee (+USD 120) is offered on every colourway except the Arctic; Vaer's Elite bracelet lists DS2 39mm fitment but is not a checkout option. Meridian Red and Meridian Purple were sold out on 2026-10-21 with "No restock planned. Sign up for Back in Stock alerts to vote back in!" (recorded as discontinued); the other five were in stock. The Black and Navy listings date from November 2024, but aBlogtoWatch says the proportions were updated for 2025, so no release year is recorded. The Calibrated Wrist (August 2025) quoted a lower USD 199 starting price on a NATO strap. No hardening treatment is mentioned.
