Small three-hand solar quartz with date at 3, sold to third parties by Seiko Epson; the smaller sibling of the VS42 (11 1/2 lignes). Epson's line-up page: 7 3/4 lignes, 2.76mm high, "3 hands / Date", "Power storage: 6 months" (not recorded as power_reserve_h, since Epson gives it in months). Caliber Corner (VS22B): 18.5 x 17.5 x 18.36mm (not round, so no diameter is recorded), 18.1mm casing diameter, 2.63mm movement thickness / 2.76mm with the capacitor, 2 jewels, 32,768 Hz tuning fork, +/-20 s/month at about 5-50C, hacking seconds, MT920 rechargeable capacitor (3023-24Y), amorphous silicon solar cell, seconds hand moves in 2-second steps when the charge is low. Caliber Corner says the VS22A (documented from 2012) and VS22B are interchangeable revisions with the same main specs. Brands often case it without the date window (Vaer's DS4 Solar Hiker, for example), which is recorded on the watch with `complications`. Tier "entry" per the guide's basic Japanese quartz row, as for the VS42.
