Started in 2015 by a Swiss watch designer (Nicolas) and Pforzheim maker Manfred Starck Uhren GmbH, and calls itself "a German watch company focused on luxury tourbillon timepieces and dive watches" (Multimatic, Ultramatic tourbillons, Quasar, Republic). Hong Kong-based movement supplier Fung Chi Yeung became a partner and shareholder in 2020; from 2022 watches gradually lose the "Made in Germany" marking, EU orders are still assembled in Germany, and parts come from Switzerland, Japan, Taiwan and China. The Shopify store ("Waldhoff Timepieces", USD) is registered to Hong Kong. Also sold by authorized US retailer Watches.com (e.g. the Pioneer with an HZ5500 micro-rotor automatic) and launched the Imperial and Vanguard V8 on Kickstarter in 2019.
