Hand-wound 16½-ligne caliber of the Unitas 6497/6498 family in the savonnette (hunter) layout, with the small seconds at 6, 90° from the crown; the 6497-2 is the Lépine version. ETA technical communication CT 6498-2 (28.11.2014): Ø36.60mm, 4.50mm high, running time 56h, 17 jewels, 21,600 A/h, jewelled shock absorber for the balance. It differs from the 6498-1 (18,000 A/h, 46h) mainly in beat rate. Brands quote other power reserves (Caliber Corner 53h, Schofield 57h); the ETA sheet's 56h is recorded. No stop-seconds (Caliber Corner; the ETA sheet doesn't say).
