Ronda 517

Ronda · Quartz · Mid tier · Family: Ronda 515

Three-hand day-date quartz from Ronda's xtratech line (the 507 is the 10½''' size). Ronda product page: 11½''', case fitting Ø25.60mm (overall Ø26.00mm), movement height 3.00mm (3.25mm over the standard battery), stem height 1.50mm; Swiss Made and Swiss Parts versions, each with 1 jewel and nickel plating; instantaneous rate -10/+20 s/month at 0-50 °C; No. 371 battery with a standard life of 45 months (No. 395 high-capacity battery: 60 months), 1.5 V; magnetic resistance 18.8 Oe, shock resistance to NIHS 91-10; metal, repairable movement with day-date quick change; pulling out the stem cuts consumption by about 70%. Ronda's user's manual: crown position III sets the time with the watch stopped (recorded as hacking); position II quick-sets the date (clockwise) and the day (anticlockwise), blocked between about 10 pm and midnight. Ronda offers several day/date window layouts (day-date at 3, at 6 or at 12). Family set to "Ronda 515", the existing family for Ronda's 11½''' 5xx quartz: the 517 shares the 515's 11½''' size, 25.60mm case fitting and 3.00mm movement height, and Ronda's manual lists the 515.24H and 517 together as xtratech calibers. Tier "mid" per the guide's Ronda 5xx row.
