Three-hand quartz with date from Miyota's "Slim" line; the 11 1/2 ligne counterpart of the GM12, with the same height and spec. Factory spec: 11 1/2 lignes (non-round, 26.4 x 23.5mm per Miyota's sheet, so no single diameter is recorded), 2.71mm high, accuracy +/-20 s/month, SR621SW battery, battery life 3 years (pulling out the stem minimises consumption), shock detection, non-breakable date construction and quick date setting. The GR02 is the day-date version (2.94mm). Miyota's instruction manual says the seconds hand starts again when the crown is pushed back in from the time-setting position (recorded as hacking). Miyota's site marks the GR12 as discontinued (checked 2026-10-21); it still appears in current watches, e.g. Vaer's 42mm DS2 (2025). Jewel count and country of manufacture are not on Miyota's documents and are left blank.
