About this entry

80% of key specs known. Missing: weight, hardening, AR coating.

The first Skyraider, a flieger built around the hand-wound ETA 6498-1, listed by Zelos on 16 December 2018 in CuSn8 bronze or Grade 5 titanium ("GR5 Titanium") with three dials (Atmosphere Blue, Meteorite, Skeleton). This file is the titanium case with the two solid dials; the bronze case and the skeletonised versions (a skeletonised movement in place of the dial) are separate models, as are the 2020 Skyraider 2 (42mm, new case) and the 2025 Skyraider 40. All six original listings are sold out and in Zelos's Discontinued Models collection. Zelos: the non-skeleton movements are engraved "1 of 200" to denote the exclusivity of the series; the 200 appears to cover the whole non-skeleton series (both metals and dials), so no edition size is recorded per model. Spec list: 42.5mm, "13mm thick" (not stated whether that includes the crystal), 50mm lug to lug, 50m "without screw down crown for easy winding", lume BGW9 and C3 with a lumed crown logo; 22mm lugs, no date, no hacking, push/pull crown and display caseback per SeriousWatches; sapphire front and exhibition back per aBlogtoWatch. Crystal shape and AR coating not stated. Small seconds at 6 (photos). Zelos decorates the 6498-1 with Côtes de Genève and an anthracite PVD finish on the plates, a turbine engraving on the ratchet wheel, a circular pattern on the crown wheel and blued screws; no grade is stated. Zelos quotes 44h and "18800bph" for the movement (ETA: 46h, 18,000 A/h). Atmosphere Blue is a stamped turbine-pattern dial fading from blue to black at the edges; Meteorite is cut from the Muonionalusta meteorite. Sold with two straps (Horween Chromexcel brown leather and military grey canvas with Horween backing), wooden box and leather travel roll. Prices are the store's default "sg" option on the sold-out listings; each listing also has an "hk" option (a country-pricing app, labelled "mlveda_country") at a higher price ($1,299; Meteorite $1,599), not recorded. The listings are titled "launch special"; aBlogtoWatch gave launch prices of $699 (Atmosphere Blue) and $899 (Meteorite). Weight not published.
