About this entry

53% of key specs known. Missing: thickness, weight, hardening, AR coating, crown, bracelet links, end links, link attachment, clasp micro-adjust.

Second-generation Skyraider, listed by Zelos on 16 November 2020 with a new, slimmer titanium case ("48mm lug to lug and 10.5mm in thickness", crown shortened by 1mm) and a titanium bracelet as standard. This file holds the titanium case with solid dials: Frost, Teal, Blue Meteorite and Carbon (2020) and the Spitfire limited edition (50 pieces, listed 30 August 2021). The titanium Skeleton (skeletonised movement in place of the dial), the Ti-Damascus, tantalum and Mokume versions, the 2018 Skyraider (42.5mm) and the 2025 Skyraider 40 are separate models. All five listings are sold out and in Zelos's Discontinued Models collection (they also still appear in its Skyraider collection). Spec list: 42mm, 22mm lugs, 48.5mm lug to lug (the collection text says 48mm), "10.5mm thickness without crystal" (total thickness not stated, so not recorded), 50m, sapphire front and back, signed crown, sapphire caseback with lumed text, C3 X1 and BGW9 lume, "Titanium with SS quick adjust clasp and quick release springbars" (micro-adjust type not described); titanium grade not stated; crown screw-down, crystal shape and AR coating not stated. Movement: Swiss ETA 6498-1 Élaboré, hand-wound, with PVD main plates, Côtes de Genève, blued screws and engraved wheels; Zelos says the non-skeleton movements are engraved "1 of 300" for the series (no per-colourway edition size is stated, though the product photos show casebacks numbered "001/050"). Small seconds at 6, no date. Frost has a fully lumed white dial with black hands and indices; Teal a stamped turbine pattern fading to black; Blue Meteorite is Muonionalusta meteorite blued by PVD; Carbon is forged carbon. The Spitfire's dial is cut from an aluminium wing panel removed from a Mark IX Spitfire during restoration, lightly sanded but keeping its marks. Its case material is not stated: its spec list is the titanium Skyraider 2's (titanium bracelet) and the photos match the titanium case, but Coveted labels it steel, and Zelos's banner for the 2021 limited editions mentions a "Cerakote Gunmetal" case that no listing names (possibly this one); recorded as titanium. aBlogtoWatch gave launch prices of $899 (Teal, Frost) and $999 (Carbon, Meteorite), rising on 10 December 2020. Weight not published.
