About this entry

79% of key specs known. Missing: hardening, end links, link attachment, clasp micro-adjust.

The GMT version of the Modello Due U2: the same field case on a Seiko NH34A with an independent 24-hour hand, sold as numbered limited editions, each recorded as a variant. Common specification, from Unimatic's current spec sheets: 38mm case with a fixed monoblock bezel, 47.5mm lug to lug, 29mm case opening, 12.7mm without the crystal and 15.7mm with it, 22mm drilled lugs, 316L steel, brushed finish (sandblasted on the U2-GMT-TSP), 8mm screw-down crown without guards, screw-down caseback, individually tested to 300m, 2.7mm double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating on the inner side; Unimatic quotes -20/+40 s/day and a power reserve over 41h, with no regulation claim. Weight varies by edition: the recorded 86g head, 97g on the strap and 196g on the bracelet are from the Norwegian Rain sheets, while the U2-GMT sheet gives 89g and 104g on the strap and the U2-GMT-TSP sheet 88g and 103g. The 2016-2020 Modello Due U2 sheets give 38.5mm for the same case. Dial, date display, lume, bracelet and straps vary by edition, so complications are left to the movement (NH34: date and GMT). Prices are euro prices including VAT; where the store shows 0, the price comes from Unimatic's page or launch coverage. Edition details. U2-GMT (2025, 300), which Unimatic calls the first Modello Due GMT: brushed case, matte black dial with C1 lume and a matte white 24-hour scale, date window at 6, GMT hand with a lumed hollow arrow tip, Timezone caseback, charcoal grey tapered TPU strap. U2-GMT-NR-A and U2-GMT-NR-T (2026, 150 each) were made with Norwegian Rain for its 15th anniversary and sold as a pre-order through Norwegian Rain's online store: laser-cut galvanised copper dial oxidised to a patina unique to each piece, 31 holes around its edge showing the date ('pointer-date disc with 31 date windows'), copper-colour 24-hour markers and XV; the A has brushed copper-coated ladder hands and cool grey trims, the T matte black hands and dark cool grey trims; Norwegian Rain caseback. Both come on a brushed solid steel bracelet (three-link, from photos) with a green canvas strap from Norwegian military tents; the U2-GMT-NR-T sheet lists only the bracelet, but its page header, description and Norwegian Rain's page include the strap. The sheets and Norwegian Rain give 86g head, 97g on the strap and 196g on the bracelet. Neither sheet nor description mentions lume. Unimatic's store shows 0; its pages give the 1,290 EUR price (taxes included) at Norwegian Rain's online store, which Norwegian Rain's pages also show. Unimatic's sheets and pages give 150 pieces per reference, while Norwegian Rain's pages say 'total 150 pieces' for the pre-order. U2-GMT-TSP (2026, 99, Tennis Collection; the page has no year tag, the year is from WAQT): sandblasted case, clay-court red grené dial with matte white 24-hour markers and no date window (none on the sheet or in the photos), tennis ball caseback, black nylon strap with safety yellow keeper.
