About this entry

84% of key specs known. Missing: weight, hardening, end links.

Ocean To Orbit's first watch, a 1950s-explorer-style everyday watch designed in Australia and made in Switzerland, named after the Himalayan peak; the store lists each colourway as "<name> 38.5mm" under the Lhotse collection. Brand specs (identical on every listing): 316L steel, 38.5mm, 47mm lug to lug, 11.5mm height, 20mm lugs tapering to 16mm at the clasp, 100m; screw-down crown; box-dome sapphire with inside colourless AR coating; Swiss STP1-21 no-date automatic (brand: 40h power reserve, 26 jewels, hacking). Bracelet per brand: fully articulating, screw-pin links, push-button CNC-machined clasp with five micro-adjustment positions (no on-the-fly adjustment per Time+Tide and WatchGecko; recorded as tool), 175mm long. Three-link oyster-style bracelet and fixed bezel per Time+Tide and WatchGecko; solid engraved caseback and lume-filled applied indices ("SSL" lume, grade not stated) per WatchGecko; Time+Tide confirms a true no-date movement with no ghost crown position. Each colourway is also listed separately on a ribbed woven nylon Adventure Strap at a lower price. The WEM Limited Edition, made with Watch Enthusiasts Melbourne to mark the launch, has a metallic blue and silver tuxedo dial, 50 numbered pieces, and comes with the bracelet and a custom nylon strap; sold out. Prices are the store's US prices; the Australian store shows AUD 1,495 (bracelet), AUD 1,345 (Adventure Strap) and AUD 1,545 (WEM). Time+Tide quoted launch prices of US$795 pre-order, US$895 RRP and US$925 for the WEM. No weight published or found.
