About this entry

The Olmsted 38mm field watch in its ETA 2892-A2 build; the brand's later Olmsted 38 listings use the Sellita SW300, which is a separate model, so this build is recorded as discontinued. Worn & Wound (Olmsted Matte, 2020): the Olmsted was introduced in fall 2019 with a date at 6, has 100m, a screw-down crown and sapphire, and the no-date Matte uses an ETA 2892-A2 modified by Oak & Oscar to remove the date. The complications are time-only because the variants recorded so far (Batch Nº2 and the 2020 Matte) are no-date. Batch Nº2 (September 2021): second of the Batch Collection, limited to 25 and sold out in two minutes; brand specs: modified ETA 2892-A2 with the date removed (the brand quotes 42h), 316L case of 38mm with drilled lugs coated matte navy with a heat-cured ceramic coating applied in the US, 10.8mm case height (whether the crystal is included isn't stated), 44.9mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lugs, 100m, double-domed sapphire with "multi-layer anti-reflective coating" (side not stated), sandwich dial with BGW9 on square lume plots; white dial with burnt orange hands and plots, burnt orange coated solid caseback, light grey crown, orange Horween strap and grey nylon strap with coated hardware; hand-assembled and regulated in Chicago. Matte (2020 batch): Worn & Wound (November 2020) describes a matte ceramic-coated case cured at high temperature, a charcoal grey no-date sandwich dial with full lume, a launch price of $1,475 and a regular price of $1,550. The brand's Olmsted Matte listing today (SKU OlmMatteTwo, the second batch) names the Sellita SW300 and is recorded under Olmsted (Sellita SW300).
