Multi-eye quartz with a 24-hour subdial at 6, a pointer date subdial at 2 and a retrograde day-of-the-week hand at 10. The 24-hour hand follows the hour hand (a day/night indicator, not an independently set GMT), so `functions` doesn't list it. SII/TMI Cal. VH8 series (VH83A/88A) technical guide (Version-01): Ø23.70mm outside (22.60mm 12–6 and 3–9), casing diameter Ø23.30mm (22.10mm 12–6 / 21.40mm 3–9), 3.45mm high, 2 jewels, accuracy within ±15 s/month at normal temperature, SR920SW battery, battery life about 2 years, step motor, second setting device (recorded as hacking), electronic circuit reset switch, date setting, antimagnetic ≥1600 A/m. The sibling VH83A has the same dimensions with the date at 3 and the day at 9. The VH8 is not on TMI's current product line-up (its product search finds no VH88), so the guide was read from a parts supplier's copy. Caliber Corner lists the VH83/VH88 in TMI's VH family of sweep-seconds quartz (seconds hand moving four times a second); the guide itself doesn't state the seconds step. Its size and specification block match the VH6 series, and the VH68B has the same 2-6-10 layout without the retrograde day, but no source states a common base, so it has its own family. Country of manufacture not stated in the guide. Tier "mid", as for the VH31 and VH6 sweeps.
