Basic SII quartz from the VD7 "multi-eye" series, with hour and minute hands and a small seconds hand at 6 (no date). SII technical guide for the VD7 series (VD72A to VD79A, revised 10 March 2009): the VD78A has three hands (hour, minute, small second at 6), no 24-hour hand and no calendar; outside diameter 22.60mm (casing diameter 22.10mm 12–6 / 21.40mm 3–9), total height 3.45mm, step motor, electronic circuit reset switch, second setting device (recorded as hacking), antimagnetic ≥1600 A/m, accuracy within ±20 s/month at normal temperature, SR626SW battery with a life of about 3 years, 0 jewels. H.S. Walsh lists it as 10½ lignes, Ø22.60mm, 3.45mm (4.93mm total height with the hands), 377 (SR626SW) battery, small seconds at 6. The guide does not state a country of manufacture; watch brands sell it as "Japan VD78". It is not in Time Module's current online line-up. Watch brands usually write it as "VD78".
