TMI's "standard" all-electronic quartz chronograph (two step motors), not a meca-quartz like the VK series. TMI describes it as "Three Hands with 3 Eyes & Date, Small Chronograph Second & Minute, 24 Hour Indicator Hands": central hours, minutes and running seconds; chronograph minutes (up to 60 minutes, 1-second resolution) at 9, chronograph seconds at 6, a 24-hour indicator synchronised with the hour hand at 3, and a date window at 3 or 4:30 with quick date correction. TMI spec sheet (rev. 31.01.2025) and technical guide: 12¾ lignes, Ø29.50mm outside (26.00mm 3–9), casing diameter Ø28.80mm, 4.57mm high, 0 jewels, accuracy within ±20 s/month at normal temperature, SR920SW battery, battery life about 3 years, electronic circuit reset switch, second setting device (recorded as hacking), antimagnetic ≥1600 A/m. The movement drawing is marked "JAPAN". Watch brands often write it as "VD53". Tier "mid" alongside the other quartz chronographs in the database (Miyota 0S2x, VK6x, YM62A).
