Swiss quartz chronograph from ETA's high-end (Thermoline) range, successor to the discontinued 251.262; Breitling uses it as its caliber 73 (SuperQuartz). ETA manufacturing information IH 251.264 BE PWD (07.08.2024): 13¼ lignes, 32,768 Hz quartz, 27 jewels, overall Ø30.60mm, case fitting Ø30.00mm, 5.00mm high; displays hours with quick time-zone correction, minutes, small seconds, date in a window, 60-second, 60-minute, 12-hour and 1/10-second chronograph counters, ADD and SPLIT functions, battery end-of-life indicator; 3-position stem and 2 pushers. The two letters after the number are a function code engraved on the chronograph bridge that sets the display layout (BE, BD, AA, AN and others). PowerDrive versions drive the hands at up to 200 steps per second; PreciDrive versions are thermocompensated to about ±10 s/year (Caliber Corner lists BD as a PreciDrive version, and Timefactors describes its BD as PreciDrive and PowerDrive). Battery: 394 (SR936SW); Caliber Corner quotes 5-6 years with the chronograph stopped. No factory accuracy or battery-life figure was found in the ETA document, so none is recorded; the premium tier reflects the thermocompensated PreciDrive executions.
