About this entry

73% of key specs known. Missing: movement, weight, hardening, crown.

Added to the 2017 Avant line in February 2018 as colourway A-4, "Bronze with Full skeleton STP movement and Ruby Index": the Avant's CuSn8 bronze case with a fully skeletonised Swiss automatic from STP (Swiss Technology Production) in place of the Sellita SW200 used in the A-1 to A-3, so it is a separate model from Avant Bronze and Avant SS. Sold out and in Zelos's Discontinued Models collection. Movement: Zelos says only "Swiss STP Skeleton" and SeriousWatches "STP Skeleton"; no caliber number is given, so movement.id is left blank. STP's only fully skeletonised caliber listed by Grail Watch Reference is the STP6-15 (26 jewels, no date, 2016 on), which matches the "26 jewels" on the rotor in Zelos's caseback photo and the dateless dial, so the A-4 very probably uses it, but this is not confirmed. SeriousWatches lists a 38h power reserve (Grail Watch gives 44h for the STP6-15); hacking and hand-winding per SeriousWatches. Zelos's spec list is the series one: 40mm, 11mm thick (not stated whether that includes the crystal), 20mm strap, 50m, sapphire crystal. Lug to lug 43mm per aBlogtoWatch and SeriousWatches' description; SeriousWatches' spec table for the A-4 says 42mm. AR coating per SeriousWatches, side not stated. The rehaut carries 12 synthetic rubies; Zelos: "new for the Avant range, the hour hands feature luminous paint" (lume type not stated). Sapphire display back in a steel caseback (photo). Came with a brown Horween and a black crocodile-print leather strap with quick-release spring bars, a deployant clasp, a leather watch roll and a wooden box; no bracelet. Crown, crystal shape and weight not published.
