Vortic's American Artisan Series in the 47mm case, its main size from 2019 to 2023 (790 of the 817 listings date from those years). Every piece is unique: Vortic restores an antique American pocket-watch movement (kept with its original dial and hands; Vortic dates them 1880s-1950s) and converts it into a wristwatch in a Vortic case, so the specific watch, movement and price vary from piece to piece. Vortic names each series after the city where, or near where, the movement's maker was based. Variants are the series sold in this size. Each is priced from the cheapest piece of that series in 47mm for sale on 2026-10-24, or, when none was for sale, from the most recently listed sold piece (by publish date), citing that piece's page. On that date the store listed 817 pieces in 47mm and none was for sale, so every price comes from the latest sold piece of its series. Series (movement maker, as Vortic gives it), pieces listed, price range and the year the priced piece was listed: Springfield (Illinois Watch Company, Springfield, Illinois) 319, $1,700-$5,800, latest sold 2026; Chicago (Elgin Watch Company) 170, $1,500-$5,000, latest sold 2025; Boston (Waltham Watch Company) 162, $1,800-$5,500, latest sold 2026; Lancaster (Hamilton Watch Company, Lancaster, Pennsylvania) 117, $2,500-$6,500, latest sold 2026 (The Lancaster 132 San Francisco Special); Burlington (Burlington Watch Company, whose watches Vortic says were mostly made by Illinois) 15, $2,800-$4,800, latest sold 2025; Cleveland (Ball Watch Company, whose movements Vortic says were made by Hamilton and Waltham) 10, $2,800-$6,000, latest sold 2026; Indiana (South Bend Watch Company) 9, $3,100-$5,600, latest sold 2025; Canton (Hampden Watch Company, later Dueber-Hampden, Canton, Ohio) 8, $2,500-$4,000, latest sold 2022; Rockford (Rockford Watch Company) 7, $3,000-$4,200, latest sold 2022. Pieces are counted by the size in their titles; two 47mm-titled Springfields (447 and 1138) have spec tables saying 45mm. The Burlington 015's page also shows a stray $500 compare-at price next to its $4,800 price. Status: Vortic's pages don't list the case sizes on offer (its watch builder is "taking a break" and the American Artisan Series page names no sizes), but 8 new 47mm pieces were listed in 2026, the latest in May, so it is recorded as in production. Movement: manual-wind 12-size pocket-watch movements; maker, grade, jewel count (15 to 23) and year differ by piece, so no caliber is recorded. Vortic's spec tables give about 36 hours' power reserve. Specs recorded are those every 47mm spec table sampled agrees on (38 pieces, 2019-2026): 1 ATM water resistance and sapphire crystals front and back (display caseback). Lug width is left blank: 29 of the 31 tables that give it say 22mm, but two 2024-2025 pieces say 24mm (and the San Francisco Special comes on a 24mm strap). Most tables give 12mm thickness and 55mm lug-to-lug; the Indiana pieces since 2023 (and one Lancaster) give 13.5mm and 59mm, so these are left blank too. Case material and finish vary by piece: mostly titanium (machined, sandblasted, polished, DLC-coated, gunmetal or bronzed, per the store's tags; several 2019-2020 tables say 3D-printed titanium), also bronze and stainless steel. Crown position varies: at 12 o'clock, where it was on the pocket watch, or at 3 on pieces whose movement has been turned. Vortic's American Artisan Series page describes these second-generation cases (3D-printed titanium, CNC-machined bronze and titanium) and says the crystals are Corning Gorilla Glass; the product spec tables, including those of 2019 pieces, say sapphire, which is recorded.
