Vortic's American Artisan Series in the 43mm case. Every piece is unique: Vortic restores an antique American pocket-watch movement (kept with its original dial and hands; Vortic dates them 1880s-1950s) and converts it into a wristwatch in a case it makes in Fort Collins, Colorado, so the specific watch, movement and price vary from piece to piece. Vortic names each series after the city where, or near where, the movement's maker was based. Variants are the series sold in this size. Each is priced from the cheapest piece of that series in 43mm for sale on 2026-10-24, or, when none was for sale, from the most recently listed sold piece, citing that piece's page. On that date the store listed 30 pieces in 43mm, all Lancasters (movements by the Hamilton Watch Company, Lancaster, Pennsylvania), at $2,500-$6,600; 2 were for sale ($4,300 and $4,500) and the rest are sold pieces Vortic keeps listed. The Lancaster price is from a piece for sale. Status: Vortic's pages don't list the case sizes on offer (its watch builder is "taking a break" and the American Artisan Series page names no sizes), but 43mm pieces were for sale and listed as recently as September 2026, so it is recorded as in production. Movement: manual-wind Hamilton 10-size pocket-watch movements (recent pieces name Grade 917); grade, jewel count (17 or 21) and year differ by piece, so no caliber is recorded. Vortic's spec tables give about 36 hours' power reserve. Specs recorded are those every 43mm spec table sampled agrees on (six pieces, 2023-2026): 1 ATM water resistance, sapphire crystals front and back (display caseback; Vortic describes dual crystals on every watch), and 22mm lug width (three tables give it; a fourth lists a 22mm strap). Case material and finish vary by piece (machined, sandblasted or tumbled stainless steel; tumbled Grade 5 titanium with a bronze bezel), so they are left blank. The crown is at 12 o'clock on the pieces pictured, where it was on the pocket watch (some 45mm and 47mm pieces have the movement turned to put it at 3). Thickness and lug-to-lug appear on only some pages and disagree (10mm and 50mm on two, 12mm and 55mm on one), so they are left blank. Vortic's American Artisan Series page still describes earlier cases (3D-printed titanium) and Corning Gorilla Glass crystals; the current product spec tables say sapphire, which is recorded.
