About this entry

40% of key specs known. Missing: movement, lug-to-lug, thickness, weight, hardening, AR coating, crown, lume, bracelet offered.

Celeste Watch Company's 38mm quartz case, one of the eight cases the brand fits its handmade dials to. Each dial design sold in this case is recorded as a variant: the store lists every design as its own product, and designs also offered in other case sizes are recorded on those models as well (see Editions). Brand FAQ ("The cases" and Q&A): polished 316L hypoallergenic stainless steel, "38mm Quartz - 20mm band size", Swiss-made Ronda quartz movement on a 364 cell (about 18 months' battery life; when the battery runs low the seconds hand stops for 4 seconds, then jumps), three hands, sapphire crystal, and water resistance "around 50 meters for the 38mm and barrel shaped cases" (the dog-breed listings: "50M for the 38mm size"; the brand's Professional Watch Assembly page gives "Water resistant to 30 meters" and 14mm or 16mm straps for its 32, 36 and 38mm quartz cases; the FAQ is followed). The FAQ adds that the 38mm watches use more battery than the 35mm. The listings say only "Swiss Quartz" and the Ronda calibre isn't named, so only the movement type is recorded. Dials are made and the watches assembled at the brand's studio in Springfield, Oregon. Straps are vegetable-tanned goat leather; many designs can instead be ordered on a stainless steel bracelet ("Metal - Stainless Steel"), at the same price. Prices are the store's USD prices (the same on 2026-10-24 and 2026-10-31): the model price is the lowest design price in this case, and designs that cost more carry their own. Not stated: lug-to-lug, thickness, case back, crown, AR coating, lume, weight. Editions. 67 variants (dial designs) in this case on 2026-10-31: dog-breed portraits, pop-art rainbow portraits printed on mother of pearl (38: Afghan Hound, Australian Shepherd, Beagle, Bernese Mountain Dog, Bichon Frise, Bloodhound, Border Collie, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Cavalier King Charles, Chihuahua, Chinese Crested, Collie, Corgi, Dachshund (Short Hair), Dalmatian, Doberman Pinscher, English Bulldog, English Springer Spaniel, French Bulldog, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Great Dane, Havanese, Husky, Italian Greyhound, Labrador Retriever, Maltese, Norwich Terrier, Pitbull, Poodle, Pug, Russell Terrier, Schnauzer, Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie), Shih Tzu, Westie and Yorkie); cat portraits in the same style (Coon Cat and Salt and Pepper Cat); zodiac signs (Zodiac Capricorn); shell-inlay designs in abalone, mother of pearl and wood, some with CZ stones (Arctic Wild - Polar Bear, Bliss, Caw, Cigar Lips, Compass Rose, Driftin' in Paradise, Endless Summer, Floating Up, Hook 'Em, Howl, Joy Ride, Laughing Jack, Nautilus - Golden Circle, Navigator - Sea Turtle, Octopus, Oregon Love, Papa Bear, Peace Out, Sasq-Watch, Screech - The Owl, Soar, Stargazer, Sugar Skull, Tarantula, Wind Chaser and Yin Yang). Dial options a listing offers at one price (background, flower, shell, tree or van colour) are given in the variant's dial_color. The same listings also sell, recorded on those models: in 35mm: all the dog-breed and cat portraits, Arctic Wild - Polar Bear, Bliss, Driftin' in Paradise, Howl, Laughing Jack, Octopus, Oregon Love, Screech - The Owl, Soar, Stargazer and Yin Yang; in 38mm automatic and 42mm automatic: Caw, Hook 'Em, Papa Bear and Wind Chaser; in 30mm and 35mm: Peace Out. Tarantula (first made in 2019 for a tarantula lover, in the blue-legged version) is listed at $250 against a $395 "compare at" price, recorded as sale and msrp prices. Sugar Skull is also sold as a 42mm automatic, as a separate listing. Sold out on 2026-10-31: Tarantula.
